Vancouver Guide

This is our guide for eating, sipping and shopping your way through Vancouver. If you're visiting the city or even if you've lived here all your life you must make sure to find your way to these 8 gems.

1. Old Faithful Shop // 320 W Cordova St. // Gastown

One of our personal favourites. A modern day version of a general store. They have high quality products for every day living that are simple, very cute, and would be great additions to any home. We have loved partnering up with Old Faithful, such a great Business, and really great people.

2. Cartems Donuterie // 408 Carrall St. // Gastown

Amazing donuts!!! With gluten-free & vegan donuts as an option, it makes it a great place to take anyone. My friend who is gluten-free said she went there and had a donut for the first time in years and almost cried it was so good. The freshest donuts with local ingredients.

3. Meat & Bread // 370 Cambie St. // Gastown

This adorable lunch spot is in a great location in Gastown, right near Old Faithful and another favourite cafe of ours, Revolver. They use all local meats & ingredients and have 3 sandwich options plus a daily sandwich special. They have soup and salads as well as wine, beer, and cider. This lunch spot is very cute & intimate as you have the option of sitting at a long shared wooden table.

4. Far Out Cafe // 2173 Dundas St. // East Village

We love this cafe! They have amazing muffins and a really tasty lunch menu with incredible sandwiches. I love visiting here, it is very cute and perfect for a relaxing lunch break, or morning coffee.

5. 33 Acres Brewing Co // 15 W 8th Ave // Mount Pleasant

A simplistic & clean space with a mix of forest & the pacific. This place is perfect for a relaxing beer with a friend. It has a small collection of fine craft beer that is brewed in the back room which you can peek at through the window.

6. 8th & Main // Main St. & E 8th Ave // Mount Pleasant

We love shopping at this cute and unique urban clothing store. It has a mix of men's and women's clothing and shoes. Every time we go we end up having armfuls of outfits to try on and the prices are great. We all got really excited the first time we started looking through the many racks of trendy pieces and realized we could actually afford them!

7. Burgoo // 3096 Main St. // Mount Pleasant

A neighbourhood soup and stew house, serving the ultimate comfort food! We absolutely adore it here, the atmosphere is like a cozy countryside cottage and the food is incredible. They have Jazz nights on Sunday which is my personal favourite time to go.

8. Le Marche St George // 4393 E 28th Ave  // Riley Park

This is one of our favourite cafés in Vancouver! It is a beautiful old house on the corner in a quiet neighbourhood. It is always so peaceful and happy every time we go. Everything seems to slow down when you take a seat outside on their fur covered wooden benches, it reminded me (Lindsay) of cafés I would visit in New Zealand. They have amazing coffee and croissants as well as incredible crepes that we can't help but indulge in every time we go!
