Ok mamas, I have to share with you this Vancouver gem! I recently found myself wandering into Hazel + Jools and fell in love with SO many things. They carry a ton of maternity wear, lots of it designed and made in Vancouver, and they've been around for 30 years! I loved chatting with the owner Hazel, she is so passionate about keeping her production as local and environmentally friendly as possible. I love that Main Street is full of independent shops like this one.
The shop is filled with trendy pieces, and timeless, I was instantly drawn to the soft, flowy linen tops and pants (I'm wearing my favourite black maternity linen pants here), because I'm a bit addicted to linen these days and I know I will have these forever, preggo or not! There are sooo many choices of denim, and if you need a good nursing bra, they have tons of those too! You can pick up clothes for the babe while you're at it, and from local companies like Numpfer and Tiny Button Apparel.
I've found that this time around it's worth investing in a few pieces of good maternity wear, they carry their own line of bamboo leggings that are the softest things I have EVER felt. They're incredibly comfy and haven't stretched out or ripped like the 3 pairs of maternity leggings I went through with my last pregnancy. I'm all about investing in the one pair that will last rather than poorly made cheapo ones.
I can't believe I'm nearing week 31 already with this baby! It has flown by and I am SO excited to have a newborn to snuggle come September. I really can't wait.
