Vegan Macaroni

Creamy Hemp Heart Mac n’ Cheese (vegan and gluten+nut+soy free) serves 2-3. 

OH MY people, this vegan Macaroni is killer. Maybe the best macaroni dish I've ever had. I'm so excited about our collaborations with Christine from Plant-Eaters Club because I just find that her recipes are so accessible, easy, and I learn new health tips each week! It's so encouraging and makes me want to cook more and more vegan food! 

Ingredients for SAUCE

  • one potato
  • 2 medium sized carrots or one large carrot
  • 1 cup hemp hearts 
  • 1/2 nutritional yeast 
  • 1 tbsp turmeric 
  • 1/2 lemon - squeezed
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • one small onion 
  • Rosemary *optional
  • 1c water
  • Broccoli 
  • macaroni noodles *we used GoGo Quinoa 


  • cut up carrots and potatoes and boil until soft, strain and add to blender
  • add all sauce ingredients and blend 
  • heat the sauce on the stove (or in the Vitamix on high if you’re fancy like us)
  • cook quinoa macaroni, after it’s cooked, strain and run under warm water
  • stir in a teaspoon of oil to keep noodles from sticking
  • steam the broccoli
  • mix all components together and enjoy!

Pro Info:

This meal is PACKED with protein. Hemp hearts have 10g of protein in 3 Tablespoons! Plus Quinoa has more protein than wheat or rice <3 

Turmeric paired with black pepper and any type of lipid (lipid = fancy word for fat) is needed to absorb all the many beautiful medicinal effects of what turmeric has to offer the body
