Roasted Garlic Hummus Plate

I used to make hummus A LOT, maybe too much, that I got a bit sick of it. So we decided to make it a bit more interesting! This hummus plate gave me a new love for hummus. Adding different flavours and texture to it not only looks amazing but it tastes just as good as it looks. We made a roasted garlic hummus (recipe below) added some yam chips, roasted chickpeas, cashews and avocado slices. I found these pretty little edible flowers at the farmers market and threw some on top, they added a nice flavour and they're just so darn cute. 

In a food processor, blend:

  • juice from one lemon
  • 2 cans of chickpeas (1/4 cup kept aside for the roasted chickpeas)
  • one whole roasted garlic
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1/2 cup avocado or olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cumin

Serve with naan bread, lots of yam chips or crackers!
