High Tea Party with Secret Garden Tea Company

Last week we hosted a tea party with Secret Garden Tea Company and it was so much fun.
We sent an open invitation on our Treasures Instagram account asking for whoever wanted to join to send us a DM. We ended up with a full table of inspiring and encouraging women. It was such a beautiful time and was full of great conversation, paired perfectly with some delicious High Tea.

Secret Garden Tea Company killed it! How beautiful are these pastries and tea cups?! The spread was amazing and so delightful. All their china was gathered from an assortment of people's private collection. I loved this SO much. Each tea cup had it's own unique story and it added that authentic "Grandma's china set" feel.

Here are some of the treats we had at our table, and if you headed to their shop in Kerrisdale, (2138 W40th) you can expect to find these yummy goods:

  • Sweet Pea and Almond Pesto Chicken on Housemade Buttermilk Biscuits
  • Black Olive Tapenade and Avocado Tuna on Mini Croissants
  • Secret Garden Egg Pinwheels
  • Scone with Raspberry Jam and Devonshire Cream
  • Tea Cake Slices
  • Tangy Mini Lemon Curd Tart
  • Autumn Linzer Pumpkin Pie with Whipped Milk Chocolate Ganache
  • Cinnamon Roasted Pear Crème Brulee with Honey Chantilly

Our conversation lead into talking about Vancouver's creatives, and what it is like to start a business in the city. I was blown away with how wonderfully connected our city is when it comes to creators, and how willing people are to create together and collaborate. We had a wide variety of women, but there was this underlying commonality between us all. We all loved our city, we all were looking for ways to connect and be inspired by each other, and it's amazing what can come out of a conversation over tea.

Thanks again to Secret Garden Tea Company for providing this beautiful High Tea experience! We had such a lovely time and can't wait to visit the new location. Such a perfect place to take your friends or family for an extra special time together.
