We picked up this pretty seagrass bag at Ikea last month for $5! I've been on the look out for a big bag like this, they're perfect for loading up with blankets, snacks & drinks, and taking to the beach or park! I love this yarn I picked up at Michaels, it reminds me of sorbet, perfect for a beach bag! This DIY is also perfect for a beach day. Lindsay and I took it down to Blaine and sat on a blanket in the sun for a few hours, it was so relaxing.
Check out the Ikea hack blanket (shown below) post on the Minnetonka blog as well! (link here).
You'll only need 4 things, it's so simple, a straw bag, we used the Nipprig Beach Bag from Ikea, yarn, an embroidery needle, and scissors! you can really go anywhere with this, if you want to do a big pattern, on one side of it, or little triangles, hearts, or X's all over!
When you get to the handle part, go through the handle with the needle, instead of around the top.
Yay! All ready for a Summer of beaching <3
