Makers & Doers // Epoché Leather Accessories

We had the pleasure of entering the home of the lovely Angela of Epoché Designs, a Vancouver based artist and fashion designer. It is SO amazing to see something come to life before your eyes, to be created from start to finish, completely by hand. It's so inspiring.

Epoché is a line of vegetable tanned leather goods that fuse fine art with fashion resulting in modern and sophisticated designed bags. She uses a unique combination of her skills of screen-printing and her bachelor in leather making. This brilliant duo creates such beautiful pieces that are simple yet have a stunning edgy appeal.

As soon as we walked into Angela's home, we instantly felt at home. She made us coffee and tea as we admired all the artwork on her walls. When I asked about the pieces, she shyly replied that they were all her paintings, and her boyfriend made her showcase them. It was cool to see bits and pieces of her talent all over her home.

Angela created a kickstarter campaign to further the growth of her business and create a fresh new brand that allows people to "experience art in a new way".

You can check out her kickstarter here, and we encourage you to help her reach her goal! We were so impressed by the amount of time and precision she gave to each and every product. From cutting the leather, screen-printing the designs, to punching the individual holes and sewing it up by hand. These are products we LOVE to stand behind, products that are art, that have so much care put into them, by passionate makers & doers.

Again, be sure to check out her kickstarter!!
