Road Trip // Melbourne

Hello from the beautiful city of Melbourne! Dan and I both knew before we got here 2 weeks ago that we would love it here (because everyone we've met on our road trip so far told us so) but I didn't think I'd love it so much! It is a gorgeous city. We have been blessed with amazing friends who have given us a driveway, and even a bed to sleep in! We've been totally spoiled with amazing home cooked meals which has been such a treat after eating mainly peanut butter, banana and nutella for the past few weeks on the road! We've made heaps of friends, met so many people here, been to the best Op Shops ever (so much thrifting!) and discovered that Melbourne has the best coffee ever! There are so many cafe's, such amazing food, beautiful art everywhere you look. Some of our favorite places were down a random back alley where we found a bar with walls made of only a chain-link fence and wooden crates stacked all over the place for seats with big barrels for tables (instapic below). We had the best ever at a place I never even saw the name of and the menu was scribbled out in messy handwriting, but best.pizza.ever. Again, packed. It helps having lots of friend and family here to take us out and show us a few hidden gems that we never would have found otherwise! We went out last weekend and saw some very awesome bands, visited the Zoo and the ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) which totally blew our minds.

The Auction Rooms was our favorite cafe, best flat white we've had yet!
Having fun with light at ACMI (below)

Monday morning we leave bright and early for the Great Ocean Road. Slowly making our way back to Perth.
