2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tsp Salt
1 Cup Butter, Cold and cut into small cubes
1 Tbsp Milk
Whisk together Flour, Sugar, and Salt.
Add Butter. Knead together using you hands, or a pastry blender. Work with fingers until the mixture holds toegther when you squeeze it.
Whisk together 1 Egg and Milk in a seperate bowl. Then stir into dry mixture.
On a floured surface roll our your dough about 1/8 of an inch thick.
Cut the dough into even rectangles.
Beat the other Egg, and brush it over the dough, this will help the top and bottom rectangles stick together.
Spoon jam into the center of half of the rectangles.
Then place a dough rectangle on top, egg side down.
Seal the sides together using your fingers, or a fork.
Poke holes of cut slits into the top of each tart to that it can steam.
Place the baking sheet in the fridge while you pre-heat your oven to 350.
Bake for 20-24 minutes.
This was the perfect little treat to go with a cup of tea! and way healthier than a real pop-tart!
